Metropolitan city Mumbai is one of the most exciting metropolitan city I have ever visited. It is located in the state of Maharashtra, on the western coast of India. Mumbai is also known as the “City of Dreams” because many people come here to fulfil their dreams and build their future. It is the financial capital of India and is home to Bollywood, the Indian film industry. When I visited Mumbai, I was amazed by its energy, tall buildings, fast life, and diverse culture.
Metropolitan Mumbai Never Sleeps :
As soon as I entered this Metropolitan city Mumbai, I noticed the busy roads, honking vehicles, and people in a hurry. The city never sleeps. No matter what time of day it is, you will always find life in Mumbai. I stayed with my cousin who lives in a tall apartment in Andheri. From the window, I could see a beautiful view of the city, especially at night when the lights made the city glow like stars on the ground.
Gateway of India-Mumbai
One of the first places I visited was the Gateway of India. It is a large arch built during British rule and is a famous tourist spot. Just near the Gateway is the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, a grand building that looks beautiful and royal. From there, we took a ferry ride in the Arabian Sea. It was a peaceful experience to see the vast sea and feel the cool breeze.
Mumbai Metro : The Life line
Next, I visited Marine Drive in this Metro city , which is also called the “Queen’s Necklace” because of its glowing lights at night that look like a necklace from above. Many people come here in the evening to relax, walk, or just sit by the sea. Watching the sunset from Marine Drive was one of the best moments of my trip.
Another exciting place was Juhu Beach, which is famous for its street food like bhel puri, pav bhaji, and vada pav. The beach was full of people enjoying food, playing, and taking photos. I also visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, a railway station that looks like a palace. Its design is old and beautiful.
Mumbai the Metropolitan city is also a city of contrasts. On one side, you can see tall skyscrapers, luxury malls, and big offices. On the other side, you will see small houses, slums, and street vendors. This shows the different lifestyles that exist side by side in Mumbai. Even though life is busy, people here are helpful and hardworking.
One thing I noticed about Mumbai metro is its excellent local train system. It is called the lifeline of the city. Thousands of people travel daily using local trains. It was my first time traveling in a crowded train, and though it was a bit uncomfortable, it was a new experience.
Bollywood industry of Metropolitan city Mumbai
I also went to Film City, where many Bollywood movies are shot. Though I could not meet any famous actor, I was happy to see some sets and locations used in films. Mumbai is also full of malls, museums, art galleries, and temples.
The food in Mumbai is amazing. From street food to five-star restaurants, you will find all types of food. I enjoyed eating local dishes and also tasted some international food items.
My trip to Mumbai was full of fun and learning. I saw how a big city functions, how people live in a fast-paced life, and how everyone tries to grow in this city of dreams. Mumbai taught me the value of hard work, time, and the importance of adjusting to different situations. It was a memorable visit, and I wish to go there again to explore more.
